Our story

Ready for the
future

Soil is our most valuable production resource. Caring for fertile soil with a healthy structure and a thriving soil life is the foundation for the yield and quality of crops. We cherish the soil, in the interest of today's farmer and future generations.

Every machine we allow on the land puts pressure on the soil. That’s why contractors and farmers choose professional equipment with minimal impact. They prefer to work with machines that are maneuverable by design and require as little pulling power as possible, on which they can mount tires that leave less imprint.

At KAWECO, we have been building machines that prove their worth in the field for over 60 years. We manufacture slurry tanks and spreaders that deliver excellent results thanks to their technology. Reliable and efficient, so the right action can be taken at the ideal moment. In our philosophy, every machine must primarily serve the purpose of use in the field. This way, a KAWECO provides more value. For the soil, for the crops, and for today's entrepreneur and future generations.

The machines of KAWECO are developed in close cooperation with users and then built according to the strictest quality standards in Baak. KAWECO's sales are conducted through a network of specialized dealers both domestically and internationally. These dealers provide the necessary service and ensure parts supply, so the end user can rely on their KAWECO every season.

Our history

60 years
full of innovation

1964

Founded in Velp

KAWECO starts as a brand of Kamps, de Wild and CO In addition to the name KAWECO, the slurry tanks were also sold as: Cebeco, Krone, Reco, Ronot, Vako

1966

Schooperen

Since 1966, the treatment of the sprayed slurry tanks has been almost the same. Even now, the tank is first blasted, then scooped, then primed and finally painted.

1969

Chopper

In the late '60s, KAWECO developed a self-propelled chopper based on CLAAS components. From this foundation, the CLAAS JAGUAR was later born, the most common chopper in the world.

1971

Rain reel

In the early '70s, there was a demand for rain reels, and Kaweco responded by developing them. And successfully! Over the years, more than 2500 have been built.

1985

Silage wagons

For the well-known Radium series, KAWECO introduced the SW silage wagon series

1988

CLAAS tipper

In addition to its own KW tipper series, KAWECO also built wagons for CLAAS

1989

DLG award

At Agritechnica 1989, KAWECO received an award for the turf spreader

1991

Self-propelled

KAWECO ZR 3300 and ZR 4350

1995

RADIUM 1

After the SW series of silage wagons, the RADIUM series was introduced, thanks to the twistlock system, these wagons could also be equipped with a slurry tank.

1995

CLAAS XERION mounted tank

At the request of CLAAS, a slurry tank was developed for the multifunctional implement carrier XERION 2500. Over the years, the mounted slurry tank has been continuously improved, and since 2015, the current model has been in production.

1999

First DOUBLE TWIN tank

To combine the advantages of a single-axle tank with the load capacity of a tandem axle, we launched the DOUBLE TWIN tank in 1999.

2002

The first DOUBLE TWIN SHIFT

In 2002, we introduced the DOUBLE TWIN SHIFT, the first towed tank on the market where all wheels do not run in the tractor's tracks.

2003

THORIUM

After several years of development and testing, the final version of the THORIUM was introduced in 2003.

2011

PROFI series

In 2011, the PROFI series was introduced, consisting of PROFI I, PROFI II, and PROFI III. Since then, the tanks have been built more modularly and are easier to equip with additional options.

2015

Xerion mounted

After 20 years, the old XERION mount was thoroughly updated; instead of a steel tank, a much lighter fiberglass-reinforced plastic tank has been used since then. This allows for more capacity at less weight.

2017

NIR sensor

KAWECO, in collaboration with MUT Electronics, developed its own NIR sensor to enable better site-specific fertilization.

2019

Shovels

In early 2019, Reesink Production BV took over the business activities of the QUAPPEN brand. That year, the shovels were also launched under the name KAWECO. In 2023, the completely newly developed KW 25-27 was launched.

2020

RADIUM 2

After 25 years, the successful RADIUM silage wagon was completely renewed.

2023

PROFI III Gen.2

The PROFI III was completely redeveloped into a new tank, the PROFI III Gen. 2. Thanks to the self-priming centrifugal pump, 15 m³ can be pumped per minute.

2024

End of Reesink Production

At the end of 2024, Reesink Production, the then manufacturer of KAWECO, ceased operations. The inventory was auctioned and activities were halted. Subsequently, the products were taken over by three companies: - Krampe Fahrzeugbau GmbH took over the Radium silage wagons, - Fliegl Agro-Center took over the mini shovels, - KOTTE Landtechnik took over the slurry technology and parts supply for the older machines.

2025

Restart in Baak

In 2025, the slurry technology and the name KAWECO were taken over by KOTTE Landtechnik, and since then we have been building the slurry tanks in Baak.

2026

Relocation

Because the first location in Baak quickly became too small, we moved to a larger building nearby in August 2026.
