The PROFI II construction method

KAWECO always aims for greater reliability and optimum efficiency. This shows in the special construction of the PROFI II tank, in the chassis and in the drawbar. The large single wheel arch and the integrated modular chassis make the production process of the tanks easier. Both the VC (vacuum) and the PTW (pump tanker) models are made of the same construction.

Unique drawbar

Slender, stable and well tought: this sums up the benefits of the PROFI II drawbar. Created to guarantee a maximum steering angle in any condition. Thanks to the unique construction method for tankers with rigid control, the steering angle doesn’t get affected by the presence of a steering cylinder. The construction can be easily set on any possible tyre size, axle base and tractor type.

Modular built

Are you changing your tasks? No problem. Thanks to the modular construction, the PROFI II tankers adjust easily. The slurry arm, the cutting chamber or the lifting device? Everything is easy to replace, meaning your machine will last you for years!

Pump and slurry piping VC tanker

Advantages of the vacuum tank include: little wear and tear, low maintenance costs and low own weight. Disadvantages are: the dosage, the capacity during filling and unloading. Furthermore, during filling, the slurry is, as it were, pulled apart by the air displacement. As a result, the tank is never completely filled.

Pump and slurry piping PTW tanker

Advantages of the PTW-tanker are: precise dosing and high filling capacity. The filling of the tank remains guaranteed, regardless of the thickness of the slurry. In addition, the filling capacity is better maintained with greater suction depth. Possible limitations of the PTW-tanker are: relatively high maintenance costs and more wear and tear. The weight of the machine is also increased by the required piping.

Well developed slurry route

Throughout the entire process, from filling the tank till spreading the slurry, the pump capacity is crucial. A large slurry pump can make a big difference making sure that the slurry reaches the pump in time. Thanks to our many years of experience we fully optimised this aspect at KAWECO. The pump will always be the centre of attention. All PROFI II PTW tankers have a mechanically driven pump built in the centre of the bottom of the tank. Filling and emptying the tank takes place on the right side of the driving direction of the tank. The left-hand side is used as a pressing side so you can enter the tanker directly via the bypass valve when filling. Thanks to this construction the slurry route is very short and has just a few angled bends. This means that the pump has a maximum entrance for slurry at all times.

KAWECO LIFTMAX PREMIUM Hitch

When working with a larger working width or when the slurry must be injected, a solid lifting construction is required. KAWECO offers the right solution for every tank in the PROFI II series. For perfect distribution of slurry KAWECO developed a three-point lifting construction with double-acting lifting cylinders and pressure regulation. The KAWECO LIFTMAX PREMIUM can carry dynamic loads up to 3,250kg.

The volume indicator is on the left, in front of the slurry tank. ISOBUS in combination with the volume indicator enables automatic switching from filling to circulating. The automatic switch off prevents the tank from being overpumped because it switches from filling to circulating. The potmeter within the volume indicator ensures an exact determination of the tank content.

The tanks of the PROFI II series are equipped with an integrated chassis as standard.
This gives the slurry tank a low centre of gravity and a low own weight.

As standard, the PROFI II tandem (11 m3 to 18 m3) is equipped with a buggy undercarriage.

The PROFI II PTW is standard equipped with a Vogelsang VX186-184Q (4,266 l/min at 600 rpm) with injection system. Optionally, a larger 6,000l/min pump can be chosen.

The Y-piece in the slurry pipe on the discharge side allows the pump to work at maximum capacity at all times. As standard, it is equipped with a manually operated slide valve for dosage adjustment.

Optionally, the valve can be replaced by a hydraulic variant, so that the dosage can be adjusted hydraulically.

With an ISO-BUS version, the valve is automatically operated to adjust the output quantity (See photo).

KAWECO PROFI II OPTIONS

Every KAWECO tank is standard equipped with a high-quality treatment. The inside is fitted with a two-component EPOXY resin. The outside is scoped and sprayed with two-component polyurethane lacquer. The standard colour is KAWECO white with orange.
Two RAL colours are available as an option.

This treatment is many times more durable than a zinc layer and will retain its colour even after years.

Filling opening with hydraulic slide on manhole (600 mm). With this filling opening one can easily fill the tank with an external pump. The hatch is equipped with a bearing work to ensure a good sealing.

Two-compartment system, to maintain drawbar pressure during application of slurry (only possible with PTW). This system ensures that optimum pressure is maintained on the drawbar during application of slurry by leaving slurry in the front chamber.

With the wheel arches it is possible to fit larger tyres with a lower centre of gravity on a PROFI II tandem. These wheel arches can be used for example 750/60R 30.5 or 850/50R 30.5.

If larger tyres than 1670 mm in height are required, large wheel arches must be chosen. With these wheel arches it is possible to fit larger tyres with a lower centre of gravity on a PROFI II tandem. This makes it possible to fit tyres with a height of 1800 mm, e.g. an 800/60R 32 tyre. These large wheel arches are only available on PROFI II tanks with a capacity of 14, 16, 18 or 20 m3.

The hydrauilsch forced steering offers many advantages. For example, there is less tyre wear when driving forwards and backwards because the wheels are steered at all times and do not need to be locked. In addition, there is less structural damage during headland turns because the wheels actively follow. The forced steering as mounted on the PROFI II can be adjusted in aggresiveness of the steering. By adjusting the steering cylinder in relation to the fork, the steering aggressiveness is adjusted. This also offers the advantage that the steering cylinder is mounted in the drawbar, which protects the steering cylinder from dirt. The connection between the tractor and the steering cylinder consists of a simple rod, which is fitted as standard 250 mm next to the towing point.

An important advantage of hydraulic drawbar suspension is that large shocks are absorbed during transport or in the field. This damping benefits both driving comfort and service life. When working in hilly areas, the angle of the tank can be adjusted at any time so that the slurry runs in the right direction. In addition, the height of the drawbar can be adjusted so that it can always be easily adapted to most towbar heights.

The ECO-Motion two-speed gearbox offers a solution for tractors with only a limited number of PTO speed options. The gearbox is available on KAWECO’s PTW tanks with a direct mechanical drive. A directly driven positive displacement pump has a maximum speed of 600 rpm. If, under certain circumstances, it is desirable to demand a lot of tractor power, for example when fertilising arable land, the two-stage gearbox offers the solution by reducing the input pump speed. The gearbox can be switched hydraulically when stationary.

The KAWECO Pumpguard offers a solution for undesirable, heavy parts in the manure, such as stones. Due to the large capacity of the stonecatcher, the flow of slyrry is slowed down, leaving heavy objects lying on the ground. When there is a lot of forage and straw residue in the manure, KAWECO recommends choosing the KAWECO Maxi Cut Premium 8″.

A stonecatcher prevents blockages and protects the rotary lobe pump from foreign objects. The large capacity of the cleaner slows down the flow of slurry, leaving heavy objects on the ground. The hydraulically driven cutting head reduces the amount of forage or string residue to such an extent that it passes through the pump and distributors without any problems. Each time the cutting head is controlled again, it will change direction of rotation so that the rotor plate always remains clean. The rotating cutting knives with bearings are preloaded onto the hardox rotor plate by means of a spring and nut. As a result, they are continuously sharpened so that the cutting action remains guaranteed.

A hydraulically operated door is available for easy emptying of the cutting cleaner.

The hose holder prevents movement and/or bending of the 6″ slurry hose that goes to the fertilizer. In addition, the hose holder ensures that the slurry hose can move along with the fertilizer.

The 8″ andock funnel is located at the top, back of the slurry tank. The pipe of the andock funnel comes out of the middle of the tank. This is above the hydraulic connections and lifting device or attachment points of the fertilizer. All this makes the PROFI II also extremely suitable as a transport tank.

The PROFI II can be equipped with 8″ dock arm. The suction arm eases the daily work and ensures that you can fill up quickly and easily with a docking station.

  • Optionally in combination with a maxi filler for optimal capacity.

KAWECO offers a wide choice of filling arms to relieve the strain on you as a driver and to increase capacity. Each filling arm can be mounted on the left or right. When mounted on the right side, the shortest slurry piping is created and therefore this position is preferred.

  • Lower pivot point controlled by cylinder
  • Upper pivot point controlled by cylinder
  • Standard: slider between suction arm and cutting device
  • Standard: pressure relief valve to vent the filling arm immediately after filling

When mounted on the right side, the shortest slurry piping is created and therefore this position is preferred. The advantage of KAWECO’s PRO 8″ filling arm is its longer range, which allows it to be docked higher, for example.

The hydraulically driven paddle wheel of the maxi filler presses slurry into the suction line, reducing the underpressure on the pump side (in the case of PTW slurry tanks). Because the slurry pump needs to pull the slurry less intensively, the service life of the manure pump is extended. Wear and tear parts such as bearings, rotors and seals are less intensively loaded. In addition, the KAWECO maxi filler guarantees a faster loading process, which increases the capacity. In the case of vacuum tanks, the maxi filler ensures a better filling level of the tank.

  • Hydraulic power required: 45 l/min

The knife slide consists of a hardox blade operated by two cylinders that completely seals off the suction line to the maxi filler. This ensures that leakage is kept to a minimum. The knife slide is mounted between the filling arm and stonecatcher instead of the standard slider.

A PROFI II can be fitted with hydraulic axle suspension for maximum comfort on the road and in the field. It is also advisable to equip your PROFI II with hydraulic axle suspension when attaching heavier fertilizers. With an 18m3 with linkage, a hydraulic axle suspension is required. The PROFI II is fitted with hydraulic axle suspension as standard from 20m3.

When soil pressure is an important issue during fertilization, the KAWECO Premium shift axle offers the most advantages. By extending the front wheels by 750 mm, the track of the front axle is shifted, reducing structural damage caused by repeated driving on the same track. In addition, the shift axle offers an advantage in hilly areas because its stability is significantly improved. The sliding axle consists of three tubes which are sliding in and out by hydraulic cylinders. The tubes move over low-maintenance nylon sliding strips.

Within the capacity of the tyre, the tyre inflation system offers the possibility to adjust the air pressure to any desired situation. By reducing the air pressure during fertilizing, the weight will be distributed over a larger contact surface, which will result in less structural damage to the soil. During transport the tyre can be inflated, which saves fuel and reduces tyre wear. PTG works with a double line system. This consists of a steering line and a line for inflating and deflating, which guarantees that in the event of complications, the tyres do not deflate undesirably. In addition, PTG works with a rotary conduit that ensures that no lines need to be mounted outside. With PTG’s digital system, two air pressure values can be preset. This makes it possible to quickly switch between field and transport position.

The KAWECO Liftmax Premium hitch offers you flexibility in changing between fertilizers as an end use. The hitch allows you to press and relieve the fertilizer in order to set the correct working depth. As standard, the hitch consists of a three-point hitch for grassland injectors and arable land injectors. A four point hitch is used with a towing foot injector attached to the hitch. Furthermore, the KAWECO Liftmax Premium is equipped with nitrogen balls which absorb unwanted shocks to the linkage.

  • CAT II/III catch hook on CAT II width 870 mm
  • Maximum lifting capacity greenland fertilizer: 3,250 kg, arable fertilizer: 3,000 kg. Measured one meter behind the balls.

Your KAWECO tank can be equipped with an automatic lubrication system that periodically lubricates all lubrication points of the tank. This saves you valuable time and ultimately maintenance costs.

  • Automatic lubrication on the injector is possible at extra cost and is not included in the standard calculation.

The KAWECO Easy Go offers the solution when a limited number of tank functions need to be operated by one function of the tractor or when Load Sensing is not available. In addition, general electricity (beacons etc.) can be controlled via the Easy-Go cabinet.

The KAWCO Easy Bus is the simple version of the KAWECO ISOBUS-Control. The Easy Bus does not come with a terminal as standard because operation is possible via the tractor terminal. The control functions in the same way as the Load-Sensing control box but via the tractor terminal. The advantage of this ISOBUS operation is that the system can be used with various tractor terminals as well as external terminals. The Easy Bus can be expanded with a flow meter and manual dosage. When fully automatic dosing is required, you can choose for the KAWECO ISOBUS Control.

The KAWECO Load Sensing comfort hydraulics adjusts the oil flow according to the demand of the tank. In this way, oil is not pumped around unnecessarily, thus saving fuel and power. Many hydraulic functions can be controlled via this control system. In addition, there is the possibility of sequential switching so that several functions can be operated in succession by operating one joystick. Think for example of starting or stopping fertilizing. With this option, KAWECO supplies a solid joystick box with clear symbols for optimum ease of operation!

The use of ISOBUS makes it easy to couple tractors with equipment. The KAWECO ISOBUS Control makes it possible to operate the tank via the tractor terminal. In addition, it is possible to use the tractor’s function keys. The tank is also communicable with the GPS system of the tractor, making it possible, for example, to close off sections. If speed-dependent dosing is desired, the KAWECO ISOBUS Control must be selected. The position of the By-Pass or the number of revolutions of the slurry pump is automatically controlled on the basis of the speed and the entered target value. The KAWECO joystick and the KAWECO Basic Terminal are supplied as standard. All functions of the slurry tank can be controlled via this terminal and, in addition, 24 functions can be assigned to the joystick. All this results in easy operation and comfortable working!

The KAWECO TOUCH 800 is an operating terminal with a touch screen. The touchscreen allows easy and quick operation of the KAWECO slurry tank. The KAWECO TOUCH 800 replaces the KAWECO Basic Terminal.

The KAWECO TOUCH 1200 is an operating terminal with a large touch screen. The touchscreen allows easy and quick operation of the KAWECO slurry tank. The large screen makes it possible to display multiple applications simultaneously (up to five). The KAWECO TOUCH 1200 replaces the KAWECO Basic Terminal.

The KAWECO ISOBUS joystick PRO is a joystick with nine buttons and two positions. This allows a total of 18 functions of the slurry tank to be operated. Furthermore, the filling arm can be operated proportionally because the joystick can be moved in four directions. The proportional control ensures less wear and tear on the turntables and optimal ease of operation.

The Hydro Dynamic makes it possible to spread slurry continuously adjustable. With this system, the application can be quickly controlled when working with section closure, for example. It is a hydraulically closed system that drives the slurry pump continuously adjustable. The other functions of the slurry tank are controlled via the Load Sensing of the tractor. Dosing is done by regulating the number of pump rotations. This eliminates the function of the By-Pass during spreading. In addition, a flow meter is no longer required because the amount of passing slurry is determined on the basis of the number of pump rotations.

KAWECO PROFI II - Hydro Dynamic

KAWECO PROFI II HYDRO_DYNAMIC

The Hydro Dynamic Dual makes it possible to spread slurry continuously adjustable. With this system, the spreading can be quickly controlled when, for example, working with a section closure. It is a hydraulic system with a double hydro pump. One pump continuously supplies the manure pump with oil, this is a closed system. The second pump continuously supplies oil to the three functions with the highest oil demand. These are often: cutting device, maxi filler and distributor(s). The second pump is a Load Sensing system in which a separate Bucher block is controlled. The other functions of the slurry tank are controlled via the Load Sensing of the tractor. Dosing takes place by regulating the number of pump revolutions. This eliminates the function of the By-Pass during spreading. In addition, a flow meter is no longer required because the amount of passing manure is determined on the basis of the number of pump revolutions. The advantage of the Hydro Dynamic Dual is that it supplies the slurry pump and Load Sensing block with enough oil at a lower engine speed.
