Gooseneck tandem and tridem

Years of collaboration pay off: In close collaboration with CLAAS, KAWECO developed a gooseneck for demanding customers who focus on capacity and quality. KAWECO gooseneck tankers have proven their worth multiple times over the past two decades, both as DOUBLE TWIN SHIFT, and in double-axle/three-axle versions

The gooseneck

Thanks to its unique build, the XERION TRAC and TRAC VC offer many possible uses within your company. The flexibility you need at all times. By placing a K110 coupling right in front of the rear axle an optimum distribution of weight is created, while the flexibility of a towed slurry tanker continues to be guaranteed. Thanks to the two-chamber system in the tanker, the maximum drawbar load is maintained for as long as possible. The gooseneck tankers can be (dis)assembled within 10 minutes. In addition to a better distribution of weight, the gooseneck offers tremendous maneuverability, as it can be turned more than 90 degrees relative to the tractor. This means you can inject slurry without an increase headland track.

Unique construction

All gooseneck tankers are built with the same construction. The tanker and chassis are constructed together to form a single self-supporting structure. This construction method allows for the full capacity of the XERION to be transferred to the hitch. In addition to this enormous strength, the integrated chassis also ensures a lower total height, which improves the stability of the tank. To lower the rolling resistance and the soil pressure, it is possible to equip the tanks with tires up to 1800 mm high (Optional 2,150 mm) without affecting the maximum steering angle.

The choice of pump systems

The Gooseneck tanks can be equipped with two types of pumps. Which pump is chosen depends on the user. For example, the tank can be equipped with a Turbo crane arm containing a 14,000 l/min centrifugal pump for filling and a second centrifugal pump for spreading the slurry. Instead of the second centrifugal pump, a rotary lobe pump can be fitted for spreading and filling via a normal suction hose. The second option is a central 9,000 l/min (12,000 l/min optional) rotary lobe pump which can be used for both filling and spreading. This pump is driven by the XERION’s Power Hydraulics. In this way, the pump speed and the output quantity can be precisely dosed. In combination with this pump, several types of filling arms can be equipped.

Hitch

The three-point linkage cat. III offers a wide range of attachment options. With a dynamic lifting force of 5 t, almost any applicator can be mounted. The lifting pressure of the hitch is adjustable so that an applicator can be pressed on the soil or the pressure can be reduced. Attachment options for two-axle and three-axle gooseneck tanks: – Arable land injector, disc harrow, Strip Lift and grassland injector – Bomech Multi draggingshoe injector up to 24/30 m – Vogelsang dragginghose injector 27/36 m

The Semi-trailed tanker

For the SADDLE TRAC XERION, in addition to the polytanker, a trailed trailer tank is also available. This makes the 30m3 KAWECO semi-trailer tank the perfect solution for the SADDLE TRAC. This tandem tank with tires with a maximum height of 2,150mm offers unprecedented capacity! The tank can be equipped with a 36-meter applicator to work with the widest tramlines.
