KAWECO introduces PROFI III Gen. 2 slurry tanker

KAWECO, manufacturer of slurry tankers, injectors, silage wagons and wheel loaders, is launching a completely new slurry tanker on the market: the PROFI III Gen. 2. The highlight of this machine is the self-priming centrifugal pump that has been developed entirely in-house. The PROFI III Gen. 2 will be on display for the general public first at Agritechnica.

Origin

Years of experience in slurry technology and a forward-looking view of the future created KAWECO’s desire for a pump system with high capacity and low wear and tear. A self-priming centrifugal pump soon proved to be the best solution. This does not require an additional vacuum or rotary lobe pump to supply the centrifugal pump with slurry. In short: a self-contained system without the use of an additional pump. In addition, it was desirable to reduce the number of tank series, making the product range for the
end customer more clear. Partly because of this, it was decided to merge the Turbotank with the current PROFI III series into one machine: the PROFI III Gen. 2. Together, the Turbotank and PROFI III have become a new designed tanker for users demanding the highest capacity.

Construction

The tank is constructed from an integrated chassis. The result is a low centre of gravity and therefore great stability. With a lifting capacity of 9 tonnes, even the heaviest spreaders can be atached. Fitting large tyres is no problem either.

Steering

The steering of the axle(s) is done by the so-called gyroscope steering. This is an electro-hydraulic steering system that does not require a steering rod to measure the angle between the tractor and
the tanker. Alignment as with a traditional steering system is not required here.

Cutting device

Unique is the possibility of a cutting device in combination with the centrifugal pump. Heavy, unwanted objects will sink into the cutting device during the filling process and grass or straw residues will be cut. This keeps the slurry ‘clean’ and reduces delays caused by blockages in the slurry distributor or slurry hoses of the injector.

Future

Besides the current 28 m3 variant of the PROFI III Gen. 2, other variants will follow in the near future. In the tandem segment, there will be a 20 m3 tanker with 800/60R32 tyres and a 23 m3 tanker with 900/70R38 tyres. Several variants will also come in the three-axle segment.

At the Agritechnica in Hannover, the PROFI III Gen. 2 will be presented for the first time. The KAWECO
team will be happy to meet you at stand C30 in hall 22.

Customer experience contractor Flierman Aveloo

Frank Flierman of contracting company Flierman bought his first Double Twin Shift slurry tanker three years ago. After good experiences and an interesting residual value, Frank decided to trade in the ‘old’ Double Twin Shift for a new one.

“… and with affordable tyres underneath that you can also buy half-worn”

A big spearhead when choosing the new slurry tanker was the tyres. Tyres of a common size are used under the Double Twin Shift. As a result, there are relatively many used tyres available in the market that fit under the Double Twin Shift.

” We have driven away about 90,000 m3 with that and I haven’t looked back at the rotary lobe pump at all. “

The slurry route of a rotary lobe pump is pretty much the same on all KAWECO slurry tankers. The rotary lobe pump is always placed centrally and as low to the ground as possible. Due to the central positioning, the number of bends is minimal, optimising capacity. To protect the rotary lobe pump from unwanted objects, it is advisable to fit a cutting device (KAWECO Maxi Cut). This can be found on the right side of the tank, i.e. before slurry passes through the rotary lobe pump. This results in a significantly longer life of the rotary lobe pump. Loonbedrijf Flierman is a good example of this. The company has applied over 90,000 m3 of slurry with their first Double Twin Shift slurry tanker without having to perform any maintenance on the pump.

“I find that with the new tank I can guarantee that to the customers well. “

Frank also points out that it is important for him to have a clear picture of the costs and to be operationally secure. Especially since they spread quite a few cubic metres of slurry with just one tanker. Partly due to the service from the dealership, Frank thinks he can guarantee this to his customers with the new tank.

KAWECO expands operations to France

KAWECO, known for slurry technology, silage wagons and wheel loaders, has a large dealer network in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany and the UK. Since this year, France also joins this list.

Dealer Claas Brittany had previously been active in slurry technology and was looking for a strong partner for trailed tankers and self-propelled tankers. Partly due to its experience with the CLAAS XERION SADDLE TRAC with KAWECO tank and its complete product range, the company soon found itself with KAWECO. Claas Brittany is divided into Claas Brittany Nord and Claas Brittany Sud. In total, the company has seven locations across Brittany.

Dealer company Claas SM3 was also looking for a new partner last year. This company was less active in slurry technology until now but foresees a growth in demand for professional slurry technology in the coming years. The large area where SM3 operates has a lot of potential when it comes to selling slurry technology. Partly because of this, the company decided to partner with KAWECO.  Claas SM3 has a total of 17 locations spread throughout the Normandy region.

To introduce both dealerships to KAWECO machines and the company behind them, KAWECO field days were organised in June. Sales representatives and potential customers were welcome to view the machines and see them in action in the field. In addition, both dealerships are busy demonstrating a trailed KAWECO tanker.

KAWECO’s customer-oriented attitude enables French entrepreneurs to put together a machine that perfectly suits their needs. Through suitable, good machines and development in the dealer network, KAWECO is betting on a larger market share in France. In addition, the company hopes for a long-term relationship with both dealerships.

KAWECO introduces Easy Bus!

Following the growing demand from the market for a simple system that is ISO-BUS compatible, KAWECO launches a new operating system. The Easy Bus system is a simple variant of the extensive ISO-BUS PREMIUM.

The KAWECO Easy Bus system is easy to use with a tractor terminal or separately supplied monitor. The system is based on the Load-Sensing system from KAWECO with joystick control. All functions of the tank can be controlled with a touch screen or F-function of the tractor. The system standardly comes without terminal and is meant for integration in the tractor terminal.

Starting and stopping applicating/filling is done with a preset sequence. This means that you only need to use one button at a time to start applicating or filling. The suction arm and other functions can be easily assigned to an F-button on the tractor or to an optional joystick.

The Easy Bus system differs from the ISO-BUS PREMIUM system in its simplicity. It has fewer sensors, and no flow meter is supplied as standard. This means a simple yet complete way of operating via the tractor ISO-BUS. The advantage of the system lies in the simplicity of operation and the fact that there is no need to install a separate terminal in the tractor.

Do you have any questions about the new control system? Please ask your KAWECO dealer or representative.

First Double Twin Shift with weighing and sampling!

For the first time KAWECO equipped a Double Twin Shift slurry tank with a weighing and sampling system. This makes the slurry tank more versatile, because besides slurry spreading, it can now also be used for slurry transportation.

Six AE Van de Vliet weighing systems are installed between the chassis and the slurry tank. The weighing points are placed in pairs, on both sides of the chassis (directly behind the pump, in the middle and just before the lifting device). The VMA sampling installation samples from the press side of the pump.

KAWECO app!

The KAWECO app is now available!

In the KAWECO app you can find among other things instruction videos of different KAWECO slurry tanks. Furthermore you have quick and easy access to the manual and parts book of your KAWECO slurry tank by using a unique QR-code. New KAWECO slurry tanks will be provided with this QR-code from now on. Are you curious? The KAWECO app is available in the Play and App Store.
